Step 1 of installing MCPs into my brain
I'm stuck in my own AI bubble; almost everyone in my field is.
We all have our own unique stack of tools, setups, and settings; we all have model preferences, with me leaning more towards open-weight models.
Even my mom has her preferences, but more on AI shows rather than dev tool stack.
I promised myself to only use AI to solve the problems that I encounter and not use AI as the solution to the problem.
So far that's what I've been doing: building trackers, tools, browser extensions...
But I've also been dangerously leaning into letting AI manage my directories and even sort my day.
Hence, I'm here pouring out what's left of my humanity to declare my serious attempt at actually learning a mental skill while I haven't gone full vegetable lol.
I'm going to try mastering—or at least consistently using and building—"Mind Palaces."
I did have a phase where this was like my nightly routine, disguised as a pathworking or some other meditation practice, but this time, I really am going to start from scratch and learn everything about mind palaces from the ground up.
What's funny, though, is I'm definitely going to let AI build the syllabus—or whatever you call a plan towards mastery within the realms of the mind palace.
In AI-harness terms, though, is a mind palace a skill or an MCP?
Anyway, I'll be reporting my progress here to have at least another part of my humanity grow aside from being a dad, which continues to remind me that I am indeed human.
Are you guys still people, or have your day jobs also melded you into cyborgs?
