I call it automated gratitude
Tropical Storm Basyang (Penha) literally just got here.

The wind has been really strong lately. My poorly placed solar panel on our roof might be hovering from time to time.
I forgot how I generally set it up, but I might've just zip-tied it to some heavy-ish objects.
It's been there for almost a year now, so it works, I guess. 🤷
It's a 120-watt thin bendy solar panel, so nothing too large, and I think it was designed for RVs and portable setups, paired with a small Ecoflow battery setup.
Does it save us that much electricity? Probably not. But it's really helpful during outages. It keeps our night light and router almost perpetually on.
We live in a small house, and I've ditched my PC ever since moving here, so we're pretty much only working with below-average electricity consumption—mostly our air conditioner taking in the bulk of our bill.
Other than that, rainy/stormy seasons can make our small home feel quite cozy.
I'm even reminded that I want to ditch all the overhead lighting inside our house and focus on mood and focus lights.
Why?
Because, cozy. 💅
A warm, radiating orange lamp—Bauhaus maybe—sitting on the dining table, illuminating most of our small dining/kitchen area. A lamp in one corner of the living room, and work lights in the kitchen.

We might even add a red and white picnic mat over our dining table. 🧺
I just think that experiencing more coziness in our life is a natural way to express gratitude. Not the forced kind, like having to go through a list or something.
And I like that.
Automated gratitude complete with the warm feeling, hot cocoa, and all. ☕✨
