Day 2 of our internet still sucks because of some people in the senate
Day 2 of the internet still sucking.
I’m writing this from a third-world country, so none of this is exactly shocking. We don’t have fiber where we live — just a pseudo-5G mobile data setup (5G NSA, for those keeping score). On paper, it should be fine. In reality… it’s limping.
Technically, fiber is available in the area.
But the subdivision we’re renting in is… questionable.
They monopolize utilities — their own water service, their own internet — and they don’t allow outside fiber providers in.
According to neighbors, their fiber sucks balls and is aggressively expensive compared to mainstream networks.
Which, I guess, is what happens when politicians own your subdivision.
Shit service. Premium pricing. No alternatives.
📶 Rumors of Improvement
One of our neighbors called SMART / PLDT to ask why 5G suddenly vanished from the area.
Their response:
“We’re improving the 5G.”
No timeline.
No details.
Just vibes.
Still… maybe that’s a silver lining.
Maybe this whole thing wraps up by tomorrow.
🧘 Work, But Make It Ritual
Surprisingly, I can still do my work —
even if it feels a bit like saying the rosary.
Slow. Repetitive. Focused.
Each task a bead. Each click deliberate.
At least I’m no longer distracted by YouTube —
the internet simply cannot handle streaming.
So that’s one problem solved.
I do have a meeting tomorrow, though.
So here’s hoping the 5G-pocalypse resolves itself before then.
On the bright side, I got to meditate a lot, and even restructure my mental plane.
That’s it for today’s rant.
Ciao. ✌️
